He enjoys developing genuine relationships with both clients and candidates; he also leverages his previous accounting experience to understand their needs and expectations.

Before joining Synergy Search, Derrick worked as an auditor at PwC and BDO, where he performed financial statement audits for various industries and sectors. He also gained experience in preparing financial statements, implementing new accounting standards, and assisting with other financial reporting aspects. He holds a Master's of Accountancy from William & Mary and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Emory & Henry College, where he was also a student-athlete and a leader in several campus organizations.

Derrick is passionate about accounting and recruiting, and he strives to deliver high-quality results and service to clients and candidates. He has strong teamwork, interpersonal, and management skills, and he is always eager to learn and grow professionally.
